Water Entrepreneurs - Dadabo village

Clean water and sanitation are among the sustainable development goals set for vision 2030 by the UN council. Life from Water took up this task of providing clean water in communities where access to water is limited. In Mandera West sub-county, Mandera County, Dadabo village, water access is a major challenge with communities depending on unreliable source of water.

 

That is why Life from Water foundation is committed to provide people in Mandera with access to clean drinking water. Our goal is not only to provide clean water, but also to empower the community to create sustainable developmental projects that generates income, which in turn helps people escaping poverty.


Water entrepreneurs project is to be implemented in Dadabo village on three milestones as follow:

1) Provide clean source of Water. We already raised money for a 10.000-meter square water source that is enough for the whole community to use (1500 human beings) as well as their animals.

2) Using the water provided in the first milestone for farming, in this milestone we help the community to farm, we provide them with all resources and machinery required to farm. We aim to farm more than 10 acres of land with drip irrigation using solar power.                (Currently we are raising donations for this milestone)               





3) Helping the community by providing business training, in order to help them creating business where they can collaborate through micro-financed project to generate income.
