Warm Items for Denver's Homeless

There are around 5,000 homeless individuals in Denver, and close to 20% of those individuals are newly homeless. Families with children make up the largest percentage of the newly homeless population. With affordable low-income housing options disappearing rapidly and a severe lack of available emergency shelter beds in the city, more people are being forced to survive Colorado’s life-threatening temperatures on the streets.

This fund has been set up to help purchase much needed winter items for our community’s most vulnerable. Donations collected will go towards hats, gloves, scarves, emergency blankets, hand warmers and thick socks. The more money that is raised, the more we can add to the donation item list. All items will be donated to and distributed by Denver Homeless Out Loud, an incredible organization working to defend the rights and dignity of those experiencing homelessness. 

If you have your own winter survival gear that you would like to kindly donate, please contact me directly and I will be happy to pass along your items to Denver Homeless Out Loud.
