Ramadan Food Drive

We are currently fundraising for our annual Ramadan Food Drive Initiative for the Talibes in all 4 of our Daaras in Senegal. Talibes are child beggars, young boys from 3-16 years old who subjected to very harsh living conditions and sometimes abuse in and outside of their homes. They spend most of their days begging for food and money to take back to their guardian from sun up to sun down.  This Ramadan help us make a difference, by contributing to this initiative, you will help ensure that these kids have proper  break fast meals as they will be fasting from morning until sun down. 

Ramadan is a time of solidarity and during the entire holy month, we will be providing breakfast essentials such as bread, dates, chocolate and butter jars to the Talibes. Based on last year’s success, a feast day will be organized, which will allow the children to enjoy both dinner and dessert!

We will providing over 2000 baguettes ( bread) to the Talibes for the entire month on June! These children usually have to beg for their meal, help us feed the children in all four of our Daaras.
