Wamena Village Crisis
Donation protected
Our brother Jefry's family and friends are from Wamena. Last week, Wamena's residents were evacuated and the village was burned; this has followed recent increased military violence and anti-racism protests across West Papua.
Jefry's family, church family and locals from Wamena are currently taking refuge in their church. They have lost their homes, clothing and possessions. Most of the storeowners have left the village, those who have stayed have tripled their prices.
Jefry's pastor says, "People here are in need for urgent help, any form of help would be appreciated."
Donations will go directly to the pastor who will distribute the funds for the purchasing of food and emergency supplies for West Papuans displaced by this crisis.
