Walter and Nolan - Tornado Recovery
Donation protected
While other people are worrying about whether someone spoils Star Wars Episode 7 on Facebook, my fabulous cousin Walter Thrash and his son Nolan have much more serious concerns in mind.
It's been a hard 14 months for Walter since the sudden and unexpected death of his beloved wife, Brittany, at the age of 28. Now, along with their two-year-old son, Nolan, the Thrash family needs your help more than ever.
On December 26th, Walter and Nolan lost their home to the tornado that ravaged parts of Rowlett, TX. The extent of the damage is immense and it will take quite a while for Walter and his son to pick up the pieces and rebuild. Luckily, they were not home at the time that the tornado struck, but they have lost everything.
Please help Walter and Nolan reconstruct their lives once again from this tragic loss. Donations will be used to help the family pay for anything from food and clothing to temporary housing while dealing with cleanup and insurance matters. We expect it to take months to rebuild, but any donations that friends and family can provide as soon as possible are deeply appreciated, since life doesn't wait for insurance settlements to show up in the mailbox in front of the house you can't live in anymore.
Any help you can provide will be deeply appreciated. This means a lot to me because I lost my own husband when I was just 34 and I can't imagine losing my home such a short time later - I would have come undone and am determined to help Walter and Nolan deal with this mess.
