walk to end violence 2015
Jim Sherlock Darcy Robinson I am forever grateful to you all you done. Darelene Meguinis the countless people who help in every community.
Was a great honor to meet O'Gimaa Derek Nepinak's mom Josie in Calgary, and to walk with AMC Eagle Staff and Grand Chief by my side. The beauty of seeing how Sts'ailes FN are paving the road to community health. And the strength of the people from Neskonlith ie: Kanahus Freedom and Chief Judy Wilson. It warms my heart to know others are walking at this moment raising awareness and offering tobacco in a good way.
Nothing will be healed over night or in a week, but with every step and each one us reaching out to each other and supporting one another we will bring Turtle Island back to where our grandfathers want. Healthy Happy. After last year this Country became my community and even more so after this year.
Yes there will be one final walk for myself across this great land.
My son and I discussed how we see the final one. Rod Scout from Morley FN in Alberta suggested back in April that there should be a walk of celebration and that is what we will do.
But not next year, My son is going to graduate and he will 18 so I am not going to miss that.
I am going to finish the book I started, and thanks to everyone for the experiences in your respective communities. I truly Love you all!
Yes I invited many of you to come visit us on Vancouver Island my door is always open.
Much Love Light and Blessings.
