Mexico to Canada Coastal Walk
Donation protected
Hi everyone!
We are Keith and Reina, currently, we are walking from the Mexican to Canadian border.
On March 11, 2015 we began our journey from the Atlantic to Pacific Ocean in Jacksonville, Florida.
208 days later, we arrived to our destination in Huntington Beach, California. After months of planning, we decided to continue our walk along the West Coast of the United States.
As exciting as it was to begin walking across the country for our own adventure, we also wanted to take the opportunity to raise awareness about the issues surrounding ocean pollution and single use plastic. Keeping the beaches and ocean clean has always been a big concern of ours. On our walk from the Atlantic to Pacific, we decided to raise donations for local Hawaii-based environmental non-profit organizations. Now that we will be walking along the coast from the border of Mexico to Canada, we will be organizing our own beach clean-ups along the way.
As you can imagine, taking on a trip like this can get very expensive. Even though we saved prior to the trip and live a minimalistic life style, the costs definitely add up.
We love sharing our experiences on this journey with our community on social media and we would also love to continue to raise awareness about environmental issues.
If you enjoy following our journey, and would like to support our mission, we could use all of the help that we can get. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
