                                           OUR MISSION

We are pushing to have a "fundraiser" the within the month of October. Our ultimate goal is to raise $30,000, which will take care of any and all administrative, labor and other operational cost, prior to the restoration and opening of the Walcourt and “Ancient Worlds World Art Gallery & School”. The immediate cost to the Walcourt complex off the “Wrecking Ball List” would be $15,000. The fundraiser will be the first step in establishing and transforming the Walcourt initiative’s into reality.

                                             OBSTACLES

We, the representative agents, have had or our share of obstacles. While in the process of trying to relieve the Walcourt complex from being on the wrecking ball list, we have had everything from looters stealing the precious copper from the rooftops of the building, tearing down the boarding and fencing that we put up, preventing us from "keeping Out" those very elements, to squatters attempting to set the building on fire.

                       HISTORY AND BACKGROUND

The Walcourt is connected to some of Oklahoma's most historical finds. It is located on the northwest corner of a busy intersection and is also located near the Oklahoma State Capitol. It was built in 1927 by Charles G. Beverage at the request of the original owner H.E. Musson.

RESTORATION]

The person responsible for providing the inspiration of The Restoration Project is Bryan Colbert.
He grew up in the Classen's North Highland Parked Neighborhood. The Walcourt was always a very interesting building, albeit empty and abandoned for over 40 years. However, through the years, he, Bryan started to develop a connection with it and always envisioned it to be a place and center for art and music.
2007 would mark the year that would be the beginnings of the original "floor plans". This would also lead into what would ultimately become a full blown “project intuitive”. The “plan” was ultimately presented to Mary Williams, (Owner). The presentation would prove to be the right move at the right time to help turn his vision into a reality.

                                       WHERE WE STAND

The Walcourt is an amazing historical building that sits on the corner of N 13TH N. WALNUT AVE. in OKLA CITY. We started renovating one room at a time but looters took things like cooper panels, brick, and any other structural debris that they deemed valuable as we tirelessly tried to keep the complex groomed and up to code. In short, we quickly ran out of resources to keep them out. We now have a bigger team in place to get this job done and the fundraiser is just the first step in the process. The mission of this fundraiser is to get the Walcourt off of the wrecking ball list. This, of course takes capital! Once it's off the list, we will have all of the resources established and in place to restore the Walcourt complex back to its original amazing beauty. Upon restoration, it will be fashioned as a school of the arts and cultural center. The name will be ANCIENT WORLDS ART GALLERY & SCHOOL OF THE ARTS.

             WE APPRECIATE YOUR PARTICIPATION!

We are proud of our efforts thus far and hope to have you along for the long haul, to share and enjoy this historical ride for the revival of “The Walcourt”.

Thank You in Advance for your interest and participation!
