2016 Appeal to our supporters

The daily life of Palestinians continues to be of grave concern and the biased reporting in the national media another. This summer we celebrate the 3rd Anniversary of the Museum’s opening. Since our launch event in June 2013, to which both Ambassador Hassassian of the Palestinian Mission to the UK, and the Lord Mayor of Bristol, Councillor Faruk Choudhury attended, we have welcomed over 10,000 visitors. Meantime our volunteers are working hard to ensure we keep the building open, develop the displays and run awareness raising events.

We need your help to continue raising awareness of the situation in Palestine.

In 2015 the Museum closed for 6 months, whilst a major refurbishment took place, both of the space and the displays. With support from the Barry Amiel and Norman Melburn Trust, we ran four workshops entitled ‘Talking about peace in Palestine’.  Plans for 2016 include arts-based workshops for young people, training for Zaytoun sellers, and student-led PhD seminars looking at the latest research on Palestine. We continue to work with the wider community in Bristol and encourage group visits.

If all our supporters gave £5.00 we would reach our target overnight!!

Thank you for your donation and supporting Palestine.

In peace from all the volunteers in the Museum Team
