Everyday, almost 29 people in the United States are killed in alcohol-impaired vehicle crashes- that's one person every 50 minutes in 2016, making it a total of 10,497 in just that
year alone.
Last October, a mother and her three children and niece were killed by a drunk driver. The
children were 8, 6, 4 and 2 years of age. These children didn't even get the chance to grow up
and live their lives all because of that drunk driver. No one should have to die like that
especially children.
50-75% of convicted drunk drivers continue to drive on a suspended license and are repeat offenders. That is why SW Florida Shield is holding a choose your ride event Co-Hosted by Mother's Against Drunk Drivers, and could use your help to raise funds to help them with their Don't drink and drive education.
