Fire Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On Sunday, January 10th, our grandparents' house in Santa Cruz caught on fire. Thankfully, they got out safely  before it went up in flames.

They've been staying at a hotel while everything is sorted out, but they got out with only our grandma's wheelchair; almost everything is unsalvageable.

Our grandparents are an extremely resilient couple. Our grandma has survived lung cancer, brain cancer, and a broken hip a year ago while our grandpa has been her rock and still always seems to know how to brighten up a room.

Unfortunately, they have a lot of costs and maintenance to take care of as a result of the fire, something no one wants their loved ones, let alone their grandparents, to have to deal with.

Our grandpa, who usually cares for our grandma 24/7, will need to be visiting the house and working with contractors to rebuild it, so they'll need a daytime caretaker, which their insurance won't cover. Any funds to help pay for day care for our grandma, even $5, would be so appreciated. While neither of us can be there with them through this, we hope we can support them in this way.
