Volunteering in Dharmasala India

My volunteer/study journey to Dharmasala, India.
Sometimes life takes you down unexpected pathways, through uncharted territory. At the beginning it may not make sense, but as the picture reveals itself further, piece by piece your heart knows fully that you are on the right track or not. I am on the right track with this community services journey. The deeper I go, the more I know and the more I feel it. This trip is a step further, deeper into the unknown and deeper into understanding and healing myself whilst offering my skills and my heart to people who seriously need it.
In collaboration with three other groups of students from our sister schools in Singapore, Canada and USA, we will be working for an organisation called Cross Cultural Solutions running various support programs to communities in Lower Dharmasala - an area that receives minimal international aid and faces serious poverty and persistent inequality on a daily basis.
This is the volunteer program I will be participating in. We will be running a range of programs including girls and womens empowerment, global health and child development.
Along side this Go Fund Me page, I am running an Ariom Designs online market through Facebook on the 7th May 2017. Please feel free to save your pennies and pick yourself up some new treasure at the market but I thought the Go Fund Me would be a great avenue for those who simply wanted to contribute without buying something or found a super sparkly $2 coin under the couch that had my name written on it - it all adds up! I will be adding the funds raised at market to this page so we can watch the number grow to the beautiful $2222. I aim to meet my goal by 19th May 2017.
Whilst I won a scholarship through school that funds a huge portion of the progam costs, flights, working visa, insurance and living expenses, this money is going towards the self funded portion that covers the rest. If there is any amount over and above the $2222 raised, I will be donating it to Cross Cultural Solutions or a specific program we work on whilst there.
I am ready for this, you all get it already and I love each of you for surrounding me in so much love, support and confidence - bunch of legends!
