Volunteer Work To Help Our Oceans
Ever thought, you want to do something good in this world and help people and the planet we live on.
Then you find when you have the time, you do not have the money when you have the money you just do not have the time. Well, I am in that position when I had the money I never seemed to have the time now that I have the time I never seem to have the money.A while ago, a former volunteer posted this video on youtube. It shows what M.C.P. is and what work volunteers are doing.
Please read the description below and watch the videos to see what a day at the office for me would be like.
I have heard people say things like, “I am not really into that charity type of thing or some have said, and “Seem like a good cause.”
I would like to make something clear, though. This crowd fund link is NOT just one of"those charity type things" or "just any kind of cause."
As with most None profit organizations they hardly ever get full and complete funding from Funds and grants. And one of the ways they supplement their financial requirements is through payments made by volunteers. And in return, they provide food accommodation and priceless training and experience.
This crowd fund pays for my internship and training straight to Marine Conservation Philippines to do my volunteer work in marine conservation. They will be indeed the primary beneficiary through your donation.
The training they will provide me will allow me to do my volunteer work more, proficiently.
With your donation, I will represent you as if you went, through my hard work, dedication, consistency and determination. I am aiming to start my volunteer work 21 August 2017 and I need your help to get there on time.
Help Marine Conservation Philippines by helping me get there. The video below describes M.C.P a bit better done by one of the volunteers.
We are one and connected just like our oceans, Someone might not be able to help everyone, but everyone can help someone. Please help me by donating to this crowdfund. I am starting volunteer work 21 August 2017 at M.C.P. In this video is a bit more of the work M.C.P. is doing and a reef that they built.
The primary beneficiaries would be Marine Conservation Philippines please watch the youtube videos below about the M.C.P. organization. All of the money we raise here with this crowdfunding campaign will be paid directly to M.C.P.
All the funds of this crowdfunding campaign will be used to pay for my internship at M.C.P, Feel free to contact the Program Manager, Mr. Soren Knudsen and ask about me, we are corresponding frequently. He was kind enough to leave a comment in this crowdfund. And I quote (with quote I mean copy paste) “Belated Happy Birthday! Thanks for promoting M.C.P. and our advocacy. We look tremendously forward to working with you this summer!” The agreed date for my arrival at M.C.P. between, Mr Soren Knudsen and myself is Mon21Aug2017 Please help me get there on time so as one, we can work together and your contributions will help so much to pay for the training and to do the volunteer work more proficiently at M.C.P. my training will go all the way right up to dive master. In the training at M.C.P., they focus much much more on marine conservation than what one would typically do in a recreational dive shop’s Padi course. With the skills provided by their training, I will be better qualified to do the volunteer work in marine conservation with M.C.P.
What your donation pays for exactly. These prices are in U.S Dollar.
Mr. Soren Knudsen the Program Manager, M.C.P. offered me this discounted price of 1000USD/month. Because they put so much time and resources into training the volunteers and appreciate those volunteers, that stay longer and contribute more to the training wich they received.
Because I am going for such a long period of 6 months and planning to stay longer if we can raise enough money.
For every 1000 euro, we raise over the 7000 euro goal. I could work a month more than the 6 months I intend to go.
Here is a quick rundown of the regular prices any volunteer could expect to pay to go work as a volunteer with M.C.P. for these periods.
4 weeks of food, accommodation, diving at regular rate 450 / week = 1800
20 weeks of food, accommodation, diving at 250 USD / week = 5000
Open Water Course 85 USD
Advanced Open Water Course 85
First Aid Course 65 USD
Rescue Diver Course 85 USD
Dive master Course 200
In total, a little more than 7000 USD for half a year. This crowd fund is raising funds in euro with a min. the goal of 7000euro that is about 7436 Dollar. That would ensure I am there for at least 6 months.
I chose gofundme.com to let you know about my request. Because this platform offers exceptional guarantees and protection against frauds, they even offer reimbursement of up to 1k if the fund gets misused. They don’t have any extra surprise costs like other crowdfund platforms gofundme.com charges only 5% fee for the platform and 3% on transfer costs not a bad deal on a proven system that has helped so many people.
God forbid or, knock on wood anything should happen to me before I go example death! Otherwise, anything else that might prevent me from not being able to become a volunteer. All the money we raised will be donated directly to M.C.P. See their website.
By donating, you will receive regular updates from me to your e-mail about how things are going. Your name will also go on a special wall of hero’s on my personal blog and my Facebook page. Where I salute and celebrate each one of you that contributed with special thanks and keep you close to my heart. I will represent you throughout all my volunteer work efforts for the rest of my life to make the oceans and the world a better place through my hard work and massive action. I can’t just sit frivolously around anymore and do nothing working from payday to payday. While our oceans are turning tin to the world's toilet. We have to do something! The right thing to do is to stand together and make the world a better place and in the end, we all win.
The following video was done by one of the volunteer at M.C.P and with your help i will make my own videos soon.
If you would like more info about what makes me “tick” see the comments in this crowd fund of my friends, family, and other people that have crossed paths with me in my life, that has already contributed especially my brother Jacques Pyper and my boss Beejay Visser C.E.O of Aussie Bar.I am so grateful you read all the way down to here. Here is a little more insight about me.
I started this campaign on my 37 Birthday 20Feb2017 it took a lot to ask for help because I am a “do it yourself kind of guy” and have a view of “you got to break an egg to make an omelet.” As someone that graduated High school out of an orphanage. I do not have many people I could really ask for help. My Mom, Dad, and grandparents already passed away.
No matter how bad things get in life I always seem to see the silver lining in the darkest clouds and I always have a way to encourage and motivating anyone around me no matter what. I believe the tallest greenest trees grows in the deepest shit. These are some of the reasons, I enjoy working as a personal trainer and bartender but it is the time I go and do what I am truly born to do.
Even though it was hard to ask for help the amount of love and support, I have received already means more than you will ever know. If you would like to support me in my volunteer work with any amount that is possible for you please donate here. From the smallest to the biggest amounts it all helps in ways you cannot fathom.
For more info or any questions please contact me by any one of the following means (I look most at Facebook & e-mail ) or contact me by e-mail via gofundme.
If you read all the way down here and you feel you want to help but can not afford any money right now. I would like to let you know. I appreciate you so much. One other way you can help that cost you no money is to subscribe to my Youtube channel in the link below that alone will help more than you know.

Signs they don't teach you at dive school.
The following video is a little some thing that I put together for fun and get over my camera shy ness.
I thank Craig for an awesome dive computer. And he that taught me how to call bullshit under water. Through sign language, you will not learn in dive school. (This me JP Pyper practicing to talk slower for the camera ) And getting ready for my volunteer work with M.C.P in marine conservation find out more about my volunteer work see my comment below.
Marine Conservation Philippines is a non-profit organization based in the Visayas region of the Philippines. Through marine research, campaigning, local outreach, and conservation efforts we have joined the fight to try and change the current situation before it is too late. We dream of a future and of a sea where our kids and their kids can still marvel at grazing sea turtles and sharks and where coastal communities enjoy adequate fish stocks for the next generations.

Wow! this year went so fast. The time has finally come to start my journey and a new path and direction in my life. In an attempt to live a life of contribution in the earth from the heart of our planet's oceans.
There have been times as I prepared for this journey that things were really hard. But every time I looked at the massive support I received from people like you it gave me strength, to keep moving forward.
Without your support, the next 6 months would not have been possible for me.
It is with a tear in my eye and a smile on my face I want to say THANK YOU once more from the bottom of my heart.

It is a Finnmatkat Travel voucher worth 250 euro. None of you knew I would do this before you decided to help me. Your responses were overwhelming and gave me a lot of strength to move forward.
Ps: I was gonna fly the 17th August but I moved the date forward just a bit. I found cheaper flights for a later date and few unexpected extra costs is delaying me a bit. My new date of arrival in the Philippines is now 18 September.
If anyone that sees this post would like to support my journey please see my crowd fund.
•I plan to move forward and be less dependent on donations and rely on online income through advertisers so that I can continue my efforts as a volunteer worker cleaning up our oceans starting 21 Aug 2017. This is why I ask your help once more it IT Won't COST YOU A CENT.
I am now setting my focus on my Youtube channel. As part of video content for my blog. The hope is that I attract advertisers and keep in better contact with you through fun, inspiring, valuable video content.
• My plan is to create and produce video content for my blog and My YouTube channel. To get YouTube to give me access to its extra features I need a min of 100 subscribers. Please Subscribe to my channel
JP has wanted to put his energy and enthusiasm into diving for the last five years I've know him. Over that time his awareness and sense of urgency in combining that dream with an ecological responsibility to help maintain and preserve our natural resources from destruction has increased massively. I believe there is no more honourable cause than to dedicate ones life to the protection of our planet and thus our species, and completely support JP in his mission!
Known you for years now, JP. You have always been the thoughtful and caring one, always thinking for others before youself. Whether humans or animals, you care for all equally and this cause is another proof of that. Really looking forward to you making it to the course. I will be rooting for you 24/7. Best, Hassan
If you have never met Jean-Pierre, nothing in this world can prepare you for that day. This man, my younger brother, has taught me to be humble, unselfish and most importantly how to pay things forward. There was a time in my life where I thought I had things worked out, only to realise that I had gained absolutely nothing. JP took me in and showed me a side to existence I never knew. This completely changed my perspective on people and nature. The rewards and true happiness that came to me since cannot be measured on any scale. You, kind Sir are the best thing that has ever happened to me and my own. God speed to you in this endeavour and know that I, we, love you from the bottom of our hearts. You will simply do what you always do, turn things to gold with your Midas touch. Go show to world how it’s done! Feeling SO proud of you. To MCP: Søren, what you guys do is amazing. Both JP and I have been water babies since a very young age. Everything with JP is on a different level, which you will soon find out. You cannot have a better candidate for the job, he will bring energy levels to your enterprise that you will not believe. I simply know this is one of the best things that can ever happen, mark my words. We are all going to support him to make this happen, please enjoy working with him and keep him safe. Many thanks. To Potential Supporters: For the people that know JP, this is a no-brainer, you KNOW he is meant to do this, jump in there and get this done. If you don’t know JP, then I think you are missing something from your life, sorry to say, but it’s the truth. Please make the effort to get to know him, you will see what I mean. Our planet is in dire straits folks, you can turn your head away from it as much as you like, but the problem is still out there. Our oceans are the single most important part to sustainability (yeah, it covers most of the planet!). You don’t start fixing a dilapidated building by replacing the windows, you fix the foundations and the ground it stands on first. Please read up on what good work the guys at MCP do and how they are helping our oceans heal. There is a new consciousness spreading across the globe getting more and more people involved in conservation. Make sure you spend that energy in the right place, for the sake of our world and our future generations.
I thank all the people that contacted me with you pledges. And the others that already contributed. God forbid, knock on wood anything should happen to me before I go, example death! Or anything ells that might prevent me from not being able to become a volunteer all the money we raised will be donated by my wife or brother to this cause on their web site. http://www.marineconservationphilippines.org/donate
I admire your determination and dedication! Great cause! Thank you so much!
