Volunteer Expedition to Tanzania.

 In Summer 2018 I am going with the company ‘Camps International’ on a 4 week expedition to Tanzania in South Africa. Tanzania is the choice of location because poverty is largely widespread, many who live there don’t have access to clean drinking water, healthcare, education or proper sanitation. So, we are aiming to try and help improve the lives for as many as we can during our time in the country. During our time there we could be doing anything such as; building schools, making furniture, painting classrooms or constructing water tanks. As well as environmental and wildlife projects to get involved in which will help restore vulnerable animals and their habitats. Elephants are just one example of the animals who are victims of human wildlife conflict which is affecting the future for these species. So to help we will build certain structures to create a peaceful community between the locals and wildlife. Also, building waterholes and removing plants to protect them too. Later on in evenings we will have some free time in which we can teach the locals some English, tell them about our culture and even learn Swahili. In order to go on this trip we are asked to fundraise £3,700. So I am looking for donations and sponsorships to help me fund this. Some things I might be doing are; cake sales, car boot sales, colour runs, sponsored walks and hopefully the 3 peaks challenge.
