Europe faces big challenges. Challenges, that could have long-lasting effects.
However, at the last European Parliament election, less than half of EU citizens turned out to vote. Less than a third of under-25s cast their vote. In some countries, such as Portugal and the Netherlands, fewer than 20% of under-25s voted.
We want to change this.
We want to encourage, and empower young people to get involved in politics. We want to encourage young voters to make their voices heard through their votes. To have a say on the policies that shape our daily lives.
For this we ask for your support!
To empower and give a voice in politics to young people all over Europe, we want to take 2 concrete steps:
1. Run a large-scale information campaign informing young people about the role they play in democratic society and giving them a reason to vote
2. Create a reminder service, sending out an email or push notification to remind potential voters how to register and when their election day is - to make sure they get out and make a difference
With your help, we want to collect 20.000 EUR by January 15th! Your donations will help us empower young people to go to the ballots in the 2019 European Parliament elections.
We are committed to empowering more young people to vote and make their voices heard. Many of our members are under 35, part of a generation often criticized for not caring about or engaging in politics. We know that young people need politics they can relate to, that addresses the issues they care about.
