Send VisPy and PyQtGraph to SciPy!
I am a core developer on two projects that bring fast, interactive, and beautiful data visualization to Python: VisPy and PyQtGraph . The scientific Python community desperately needs high performance visualization, and these projects need the community to learn about and support them. That is why I am bringing them to the SciPy 2015 conference in Austin (but not without your help).
These projects will make three appearances*: a 4-hour tutorial on PyQtGraph, a short presentation on VisPy, and a 2-day code sprint for both projects.
With your support, I will be transported hundreds of kilometers away at speeds only dreamed of for 99.9% of the history of the human race. I will bring my knowledge of blazing fast visualization and deposit it directly into the brains of hundreds of scientists, engineers, and Python enthusiasts. Most importantly, I will connect these open source projects with the audiences who need them, and the future communities who will support them.
