Hi, guys!!
I'm so grateful you've made it this far and would be even more so if you could help me, help others. Every little bit counts - take the word of a uni student.
Alright so for those that don't know what's really going on, let me give you a rundown. My virtual self is here asking one and all to help in whatever way you can to get me over to South Africa!! In November I am going to find myself doing some really cool things basically. During our first week in St Lucia, we will be really getting amongst the community by helping in the schools where we will try our hand at being English teachers, practise our lunch making skills, and getting a bit messy with construction and farming. This will hopefully assist when we get around to helping build a local house. Another crazy exciting thing to look forward to is getting up, close and personal with the crocodilians and big cats in the conservation projects we get to be a part of.
The rest of our time in this beautiful country will then be spent exploring villages, going on safari, learning about the culture, and yes enjoying some time by the beach.
Not only is this an incredible experience for myself, I can only imagine how much the people would love a helping hand. We don't all have it so easy and that's why it's so important to do what we can when we can.
Though the funds far exceed what I hope to raise, whatever is so graciously donated will be put toward numerous things such as the building materials needed, transportation, food, water, and plenty of more.
Regardless of whether you can help out at the moment or not, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read this. For anyone that is curious, the VESA website has, even more, information and some great stories from previous trips.
