Vaughn's Family Dream

Donation protected
Thank you for visiting our gofundme site; this concept was mentioned to us by several friends/family on several different occasions.  This site has been created to help us with the expenses that are going to be coming from the IVF treatment that we hope to do again in the next year. As we are hanging our heads; we were hoping to do all of this on our own, but we realized very quickly that we just can't.

It's hard for us to ask for this help, as there is a chance it won't work.  But like everything else in life, we don't know how things are going to go, and we just have to be positive and move forward. We are not giving up on our dream! We are planning several different avenues to raise money: garage sales, selling various items, auctions, seeking second jobs and possible benefits.

Jeremy and I started dating in 2008 and got married in 2011. We found out we were pregnant in April 2010 but soon figured out the embryo was stuck in my left tube. In January 2011 right after we got back from our honeymoon we found out we were pregnant again! We were over the moon however at 7 weeks I miscarried. Miscarried again in February 2012. At this point we decided to seek advice from a fertility doctor. They ran multiple tests and completed procedures. The result was all of our bloodwork was normal. There is no reason we shouldn't be able to conceive and carry a child. We decided to do IUI (inter uterine  insemination) we did a total of 5- none resulted in a pregnancy. In February 2015 we became pregnant again- dr urged strict bed rest but something didn't seem right. We found out that the baby was caught in my right tube and had to be terminated. At this time the doctor removed both of my fallopian tubes. So our only chance to have a family of our own would be to do ivf (invitro fertilization). In May 2015 we did a round and it resulted in two healthy embryos but didn't result in a pregnancy. In October 2015 we did IVF again with genetic screening of the 4 embryos; all four embryos were chromosomally abnormal. It was another devastating blow on our journey to parenthood. We've struggled with infertility throughout our marriage trying every wives tale, pharmaceutical suggestions, as well as multiple IUI cycles and two IVF cycles plus other medical treatments. This was not what we had hoped for, but through it all, we know that God is still good.  This journey has pushed us to the feet of our Savior and made us cling to the cross. We have never felt more broken, useless, and full of fear in our whole lives, but thankfully, we know that our God is a good God. We believe that His word is true, and that He WILL be glorified through all of this.  Exodus 14:14 says, “The Lord will fight for you, you need only be still.”  We can say daily that it is well with my soul knowing that this is not a surprise to Him.

We are a loving couple that does already have 2 wonderful fur-babies but we are looking to fulfill our dream of becoming parents to the non-fur variety also. The money that we raise will all be put toward our IVF and fertility journey. The national average for IVF is around $18,000, we both have good jobs but neither of our insurances covers infertility so we are left to pay for everything out of pocket.

If you cannot help in the monetary way please just share this on your facebook page and help spread this, even if you can help share it anyway. We appreciate any and all help we receive to help us have a family.

Sincerely,

Jeremy and Lori Vaughn
