Help me fund my dream career
Thankyou for taking the time to view my appeal.
I am a 26 year old who is currently chasing my dream of becoming an Airline Pilot.
I have succeeded in securing myself a place at CAE Oxford Aviation Academy to enrol onto their APP First Officer programme. To do this I had to pass a series of aptitude tests and competency based interviews. This process took me just over 2 years to reach the standards required.
Having now applied for funding through BBVA's Student Pilot Mortgage scheme, I find myself unable to secure funding this way, as the members of my family who were in a position to act as my guarantors, will be over the acceptable age by the time the repayment schedule expires.
I have also written sponsorship requests to a considerable number of airlines but, at present, have had no replies.
If one hundred and thirty thousand people donated a single pound each, this would enable me to pay for all of my training and accommodation for the duration of the course. As a bonus, it would also allow me to pay for my airliner specific "Type Rating" once my initial training has been completed.
Please help me achieve my lifelong ambition, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your generosity!
