Teach North Korean Refugees (TNKR)

Teach North Korean Refugees Hey you--Amber here, and I'm raising money for an organization that has quickly become close to my heart. I have been privileged to be chosen by two brave and determined North Korean refugees who are excited to learn and perfect their English skills.  The funny thing is, they think I am helping them, but what they don't realize is how much they are actually helping me.  I love teaching, and their enthusiasm makes it so easy to enjoy this volunteering opportunity.  There are lots of costs attached to this worthwhile, but growing, organization, and that's why we tutors are fundraising.  Money is necessary for leasing buildings for orientations, workbooks and other teaching materials, study rooms, and scholarships for successful refugees who are able to advance to university.  I plan to turn over all my funds raised to TNKR, since I am happy to shoulder any personal costs associated with my experience.  Thanks so much for sharing in my excitement -- this is one place where you know your donations will directly benefit some of the determined and most grateful people I may ever meet.
