iPads in the classroom

I'm a high school English teacher at Tualatin High School. Specfically, I'm the Writing 121 teacher, and my classroom has been fortunate enough to have a set of MacBook computers for the past two years for students to write with, however, those computers are now increasingly becoming less and less effective. Keys are coming loose, screens have sections that are burning out. 

So I'm hoping to furnish my classroom with a set of iPads and keyboard cases sooner than later because once these computers go I'm not certain I can get another set since technology is in such high demand. 

A lot has been asked of the students in this Writing 121 class, and they have answered the rigor with exceptional fortitude; their ability and willingness to create written work is simply awesome. I know they would be appreciative of this new technology since they are equally as appreciative of the current technology they have access to now. Personally, too, I'm excited about the possibilities new technology will ffer me as I continue to try and be the best teacher I can.
