Upgrade Kilmacrenan Football Pitch

The community football pitch in Kilmacrennan, County Donegal, “Lurgy Park”, was developed in 1990. The pitch has been used in recent years by Kilmacrennan Celtic FC for its underage football teams, Lurgy Park is currently at a standard that it is now no longer suitable as a home pitch for the Kilmacrennan underage football teams. If we are to be able to provide playing facilities for our teams when the new season kicks off in the Spring of 2017, we must invest in Lurgy Park now and we are seeking public support to allow us to restore our football pitch to its former glory.

Among the essential works to be carried out if we are to continue to provide an opportunity for the children of our area to play football are: draining and resurfacing of the playing surface and the upgrading to an acceptable standard of the changing rooms

The fundraising committee of Kilmacrennan Celtic FC are hoping to raise €5,500 to allow these essential repairs to be carried out, this will allow the club to continue its work of providing opportunities for the children of our area to play and enjoy football locally.
