Unheard Voices OTCJ Call To Action

Donation protected
Swift Justice and Unheard Voices OTCJ have issued a call to action for Saturday, June 22, in Harvest, Alabama, outside Limestone Correctional Center.  The demonstration and outreach effort will take place during visitation hours, from 10-1 pm.  It will be followed by an open meeting in Huntsville (location TBD) for a gathering of the minds to discuss future actions to support our freedom fighters inside, hold the ADOC accountable, and resist the construction of new private prisons.  We are calling on local and national prison advocacy and abolitionist networks, as well as all who understand our issues are inevitably connected to the mass-incarceration and criminalization of our loved ones, to join us on the ground and/or to help fund this mobilization.  While we wait to see if the Department of Justice will file suit based on its findings that Alabama prisons violate the 8th Amendment, Alabama continues to be a critical site of resistance—it is well past time for us in Alabama to stand up, together, and fight for a future without prison slavery and without prisons.

Please help us by assisting this effort financially.  Especially if you cannot be there, but agree with us that Alabama needs to see and hear from all who have been impacted by the violence and corruption of the ADOC, please consider funding those who CAN be there in person but struggle to cover their travel expenses alone.  A portion of these funds will also go to t-shirts for participants and anyone donating over $75.00 via this GoFundMe.
