Ukulele Kids Club Christmas

Donation protected
Hey All,

Big Daddy Uker from Big Rock, IL.

This campaign is very simple.   It costs The Ukulele Kids Club $40 to put a new ukulele in the hands and healing in the heart of a sick child.  Not only does the child get the Ukulele, but they are paired with a Music Therapist for therapeutic ukulele lessons.

I started this campaign because I want to put as many Ukes as possible into the hands of every sick child possible so that they can experience the health and healing that music brings.

If you haven't played it's hard to understand just how much healing this little 4 stringed instrument can bring.   I want these kids to hear music they have never heard before and that will happen the minute you put a ukulele in their hands.

All of of the money raised through this campaign will go directly into the purse at The Ukulele Kids Club.

How much does this mean to me?  I am selling all my personal ukuleles, not for cash but for donations into this campaign.  That is my commitment to this project.

Consider the following...

Starbucks: $5
5 Guys Lunch: $10
Family Night at the Movie: $60
NFL Game, Cheap Seats: $100

What could you do without this week?  Just imagine if everybody that reads this threw $5 at the project...100s of kids would get ukuleles.

If you do nothing else, share this with everybody on your friends list and encourage them to do the same.

I set the project amount at $4000 but I would love to have to change that several times.  Remember, it's just $40 to put a brand new soprano ukelele in the hands and healing in the hearts of one of these very special children.

The UKC: (from their website)

Ukulele Kids Club Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization for the mission of donating ukuleles to children’s hospitals nationwide for music therapy programs. We also send the kids home with the instruments as gifts of music “for life.” The therapeutic benefits are amazing for sick children.

The Recipients:

Just a handful of the many many kids that have benefitted from this great organization.

My Plea to my Ukulele Family:

Queue the sad Sara McLachlan music...

We all know how special this little 4 stringed instrument it is.  We all have felt the joy it has brought to us as individuals, as families, as friends, as communities and clubs all over the world.

I can't even imagine, the joy that it brings to these kids when they not only receive the ukulele, are taught to play it and take it home with them to share and spread that joy to their familes, friends and communities.

I would love to let Corey at UKC know that he's gonna need to hire some extra elves to get all these ukulele's out by Christmas!!!
