Join Nasser's fight against Cancer

In developing countries like Pakistan, most parents invest all their wealth and efforts in trying to give a better future to their kids by providing them with quality education. It is also a fact that this task is challenging in troubled zones like Pakistan. Parents of my dear friend and brother Nasser Malik also dreamt the same and invested their life savings in trying to make Nasser a dedicated doctor.



Unfortunately, soon after graduating from Southeast University in China, Nasser was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma in July of 2015, while he was still away from home.

Like a brave soldier, Nasser fought back by undergoing 6-month chemotherapy course (R-CHOP regimen) and doctors were hopeful that he will succeed! Unfortunately, last month he was told that the first line chemotherapy has failed at eliminating or reducing the size of tumor. Currently, Nasser is undergoing Rescue/ Salvage therapy in a Pakistani hospital. Doctors say he would need bone marrow transplantation in coming months (a more invasive and expensive procedure) to beat the vicious cancer cells.
