As we all know, life can change in the blink of an eye and everything you've known to be "normal" and routine can go out of the window in a matter of seconds. That was the case for my brother, DJ, and his best friend, Eni.  A routine drive home after enjoying MSU homecoming festivities turned out to have life changing consequences. DJ and Eni were on the side of the road when they were the victims of a hit and run. We thank God for the Good Samaritan who was kind enough to call 911 and even more grateful that their lives were spared. Unfortunately, the accident left both of them in the hospital and resulted in Eni losing his leg. With any traumatic event, recovery doesn't happen in a day, a week, or even a month. It is an ongoing journey that WILL happen with love and support. Many people continue to call, text, and visit to wish them well and even more have asked, "How can I help?" Here's how, You can DONATE. No amount is too small and every bit helps. Even with insurance, medical costs, rehabilitation, and therapy costs can be astronomical. So this platform is solely to be a blessing to Eni and be your brother's keeper. All donations will go to the Banjo family to assist in Eni's care. Happy Sunday,
This update is to let everyone who has been a blessing to inform you about both DJ and Eni's status. DJ has returned back to school and is back on his feet. He sends his thanks and gratitude to everyone who reached out to him, visited, and prayed for him. He asks everyone to continue to be a blessing.

For the first time yesterday Eni saw the gofundme fundraiser and he was able to read all of the prayers, words of encouragement, and the well wishes. All he could say was "wow, this is amazing... Thank you!" Prayerfully, Eni has had his last surgery and should be looking to discharge from the hospital very soon.

What reassures me, is the calm and peace I feel whenever I am in Eni's presence. He has not allowed this ordeal to break him. I know that God is surely at work and plans to make this test Eni's greatest testimony.

Everything that has been raised in the past two weeks is nothing short of a miracle and will certainly be a blessing to the Banjo family.

As always, Thank you from the bottom of my heart and God Bless :)

Once again, words can not express how grateful I am for each person who has taken their time to share Eni's story, be a blessing to Eni and his family, and support this fundraiser. Because of each of you, we have raised almost $13k in one week! It goes to show you how awesome each of you is. EVERY dollar is a blessing and EVERY donation deserves to be acknowledged. The campaign is not a "young people" campaign, this is a "human being" campaign. We all have a duty to be our brother's keeper and that is not only by giving. Your prayers, well-wishes, compassion, empathy, your love and support all demonstrate this and confirm why this fundraiser was started.

Eni is in great spirits and remains so humble and positive! He sends his thanks and is SO grateful for the outpouring of love he has received. My Brother's Keeper will remain up and I know we are going to surpass our goal, so why slow down? Next goal: what do you say... $20k?!
