Maternity Leave

Hi! I’m a little timid to do this but here we go! Baby Severin is due January 10th and I was just informed that I do not qualify for paid maternity leave! Instead of having a baby shower I am asking for help in funding so that I may attempt to be home with my newborn during this crucial bonding time.
The backstory is short, I did consult the benefits center of my employment in June of 2019 and was told that I would qualify for benefits at our next audit if I acquired enough hours. I do have enough hours but have just been informed that said benefits won’t begin until April 2020. Unfortunately my due date is in a couple weeks. My paychecks aren’t huge but they are very necessary to our very tight budget.
My daughters have changed my life in ways that I could never imagine and I would desperately like to spend bonding time with Severin after she is born just as I was able to with Sagan.
