My name is Daniel Swope and I am raising money for a friend who is currently dealing with medical issues that are putting financial strain on her and her family. It is important that she focuses on getting better and her primary goal should be dealing with her medical issues. The purpose of this campaign is to help alleviate the financial strain her condition has caused. Due to her upcoming surgery she will be off work for at least 4 to 6 weeks. As a result, she will be down to one income.  My goal is to make sure this doesn't affect her family in a negative way. Tam Is a very humble person who would never ask for help herself. She is a strong and independent woman who is a role model for many people and because of this I felt it was necessary to take it upon myself. She suggested that any money she doesn't use should go to her local animal shelter because she is a kind and loving individual who believes in paying it forward. we would greatly appreciate any money that could be raised.

UPDATE:  as soon as she is fully healed from the first surgery, she has to have major back surgery, a lumbar fusion. Afterwards, she will have to spend a few days in the hospital then a week or so in a nursing home for rehab.

Also, we'd like to thank all of the people who have helped support tam with the current medical problems she's facing. You are all awesome!!!

While I was hoping to be working by now but continuing complications from my lumbar fusion and the onset of a yet to be diagnosed neurological problem, I am still restricted from working. While my healing continues so do the bills. Chris is working his ass off to keep us going and not being able to help him makes me feel useless. I appreciate those that have helped, thank you! If you have already donated or unable to donate, I would appreciate a share! If would rather use another means to donate, please message me on Facebook.

Update on Brutus-He had a bunch of xrays and more blood drawn to go to a specialist. He is on more medication for his appetite, hoping it's not cancer and is just his parathyroid malfunctioning. I am stressed about surgery but more stressed about him. So far the bill has racked up over $800. I appreciate everyone that has donated and shared. We are seriously struggling now with the vet bills, and there will be more coming. Every donation helps, especially now. Thank you again for your help so far.

Well my tentative surgery date is May 10. Still fighting with the home health aide company to get more than 2 hours a day of an aide. Fell a week ago Friday and ended up with a black eye and stitches and torn muscles in my back. They also found an issue at L3 on the x-rays which could make surgery even more extensive. On top of all of this, my Brutus is showing signs of having cancer. So now there are even more expenses we cannot possibly cover but I will do what I need to do for my furbaby I have had since her was 10 weeks old and now only 8. This is truly trying ever bit of sanity I have left.

Went to the surgeon today, I'm.about 3 weeks behind on healing due to the infection. My back has also gotten substantially worse because I've been forced to use my back over my abdominal muscles. Looking at the lumbar fusion to be scheduled mid to late April. I shoukd be ready for round 2 by then!

Well there has been a major setback. One of the incisions opened and now is horribly infected. Was admitted Monday, they will drain again today and make the decision on surgery to open it up and rinse out my lower abdomen. Thank you again to everyone who has donated or shared so far.

Still in serious but taking it day by day. Will probably be another week or so until can get up with minimal assistance. Follow up appt is March 8, so then I will get a better idea when I will be cleared for the lumbar fusion. I am going to try to work a couple hours next week if I can but that will probably only be enough to cover my gas bill. Please consider a donation or share, it would help us immensely.

UPDATE - Wow, I feel like I got hit by a truck. Been needing a ton of pain meds. I can't get up by myself, go to the bathroom myself, need help putting clothes on and nearly Need help with everything for at least 3 weeks. Also have to wait for test results for two weeks since they found something in my bladder. I should be medically clear in 32 days to have the lumbar fusion. And there you have it.

I want to thank everyone that has donated and shared but I still need help. I will be unable to work for at least 3 weeks after the first surgery then possibly months after the lumbar fusion. While we will still have one income, being without mine will make keeping up on just our normal bills impossible. Any addition help and shares would be greatly appreciated.
