Let's help St Clare's Hospice!!!
Do you want to join us in making a difference? We are an NCS group from Harlow College who are thriving to help out the local community in any way we can. NCS is a government run course for 15-17 year old's to boost confidence and excel CV's. In our final week we spend time participating in a social action project to raise money and awareness for local charities to show our full support and gratitude.
As part of our social action project we are raising money in aid of ST CLARE WEST ESSEX HOSPICE CARE TRUST and every donation will help! Their care is for any life-limiting illness. This includes conditions such as respiratory disease, heart disease, Parkinson’s, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis and end stage dementia – as well as cancer.
St Clare is there for the whole person and the whole family. They offer a wide range of services, providing physical, emotional, social, psychological and spiritual support, ensuring they respect and encourage individuality, dignity and self-esteem.
Their holistic approach to care extends to relatives and friends both during their loved one’s illness and through bereavement.
They work in close partnership with all health and social care professionals involved in a person’s care, including GP's and district nurses.
Their aim is to make sure patients and their families have access to skilled, compassionate and sensitive care in a place of their choice.
They receive a limited amount of NHS funding, so most of the cost of providing their services each year is met through donations and voluntary funding.
