Medical expenses

Brittany has been battling an ulcer issue for going on 9 months now. When she was first diagnosed with her ulcer problems, she was in the hospital getting blood transfusions and being closely monitored for several days. She has had endoscopy after endoscopy, she has been given medication after medication to try to heal her ulcer, but nothing is working. Today she got the news that they are going to have to do a pretty extreme surgery on her that will require a seven day hospital stay, plus several weeks to heal. They are having to remove the ulcer by taking out half of her stomach. They have biopsied it for cancer. We will get those results in a week. Her and her husband are going to miss quite a bit of work due, and these appointments haven't been cheap for her. Just today she paid $400.00 out of pocket so she could get her procedure done. I am trying to take off some of the financial stress this is causing because her and her family dont need the stress along with everything else.
