Hello friends , my name is Tristan and I'm a merman . I know its sounds crazy, but its true . Growing up in Florida and in the late 80s , mermaids where very popular with movies like "Splash" and "The Little Mermaid" . Weeki Wachee Springs, city of mermaids , was a favorite place to visit . So from a very early age I have dreamt of a life below the waves .
In my mid twenties, I developed a crippling addiction to alcohol and methampetamine . My addiction took everything from me . The people I love , my home , my job as a theme park entertainer . Bringing me to a place I never dreamed I would be .
After going to rehab I purchased my first merman tail . With a new sense of recovery in my life ,anything seemed possible, including making " mermaiding" a profession. There is a convention of such professionals meeting in North Carolina this January called MER-MANIA Jan 20-22. Building my life back has not been easy or cheap , so I ask you for any help possible to make this dream come true. Your donations will go to airfare , lodging, and entry to the convention , where I will be meeting industry leaders and pioneers , have a pro photoshoot , and marketing seminars on mer businesses.
I am more then greatful for any donation at all . No contributon is to small. This campaign will be open till january 10, 2017.
