Bend Area Habitat for Humanity Global Village: Trinidad & Tobao - November 5-13, 2016

Kaci Alderin has decided to travel with Bend Area Habitat for Humanity to Trinidad & Tobago and and serve alongside a local family to help build them a new home.

In 2006, Habitat for Humanity helped our fmily become homeowners and she's FINALLY of age to give back!

Her team of approximately 12 volunteers will stay in or near Port of Spain, Trinidad’s bustling capital city. Join a family in building their new house in Trinidad, and visit this true melting-pot culture with Creole, African and Indian influences.

Her team, led by two staff from Bend Habitat, is part of a larger Global Village community building projects across the world. She'll will get her hands dirty on the work site, meet families whose housing situations have been improved with Habitat’s help, experience the country like an insider and do it all alongside a team of like-minded volunteers.

Itinerary
Day 1, Saturday: Arrive at Port of Spain airport, where Habitat for Humanity staff welcomes you. Travel to accommodations and meet your team over dinner.
Day 2, Sunday: Habitat staff will orient you to our work in Trinidad and Tobago and introduce you to the community in which you’ll work.
Days 3-7, Monday-Friday: Build on-site, with free time and team activities in the evenings.
