Trent’s stolen piggy bank money

My husband and I went to put change into our 3 year old sons piggy bank and found it completely empty. We’ve been saving money for him since he was born. We had a pikachu piggy bank full to the top with large bills and lots of coins in it for our son. Our plan was to save that money for him now so when he gets older and graduates high school we would give him that money to use for a car or whatever he needs to go off on his own. I recently opened a credit union account for him and we’ve been planning to put that money in there since it was adding up over the last couple years, but now discovered it was stolen. It’s so devastating and we as his parents feel horrible we didn’t put it into a bank account to prevent this from happening. Now when we go to put money in his piggy bank with him we have to explain why it’s empty. Explain that someone stole from him. Our hopes are to get a little help to replenish it. We recently just invested into installing siding and windows on our house and any extra money we may have had is tied up so to replenish it ourselves would take twice as long. Anything helps and Trent would greatly appreciate any contribution towards his future saving account.
