THE ASHRAM KITCHEN, Calais Jungle
Donation protected
Since September the Ashram Community Kitchen has taken many different forms in the Refugee Camp in Calais; The Jungle. Since the start Ashram has existed as not only as a kitchen that feeds up to 700 refugees a day but also a safe space in which the residents of the camp can:
Come together
Drink Chai with Friends
Help in the Kitchen (Cooking, Serving, Building)
Recieve English Lessons
Recieve important Asylum information
Play Games
As the numbers in camp have risen to almost 10k we are finding our selves having to take on more volunteers, cook more food, use more gas and therefore spend alot more money. At the moment we are spending roughly 300£ a week just on gas which means are funds are beginning to run out!
if you are looking for a way to contribute and help the camp please spare us some cash to keep feeding the hundreds every day :)
thankyou
