Travel Expenses for Jim & Stephanie

Friends of Jim and Stephanie,
I am Stephanie's sister and I wanted to reach out to you because I started a GoFundMe Account to help them with their travel expenses to and from M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. As most of you know, they traveled to MD Anderson to get a second opinion because of the kind of aggressive cancer Jim has, and were so impressed with the medicine and level of care there (the #1 cancer hospital in the world), they made the decision to begin treatment there.
MD Anderson will manage Jim's treatment for four months (4 cycles of chemo) and then coordinate with a local oncologist in the Atlanta area to continue chemo, but they will travel back to MD Anderson periodically for the necessary scans to check and manage the progression of his treatment. He is getting a chemotherpy regimen that isn't available anywhere else in the country, and working with an oncogist that is known as a "rock star" in the oncology community - so their decision to choose MDA will give Jim the very best chance to survive and beat this cancer.
But, travel is expensive, and we want to make sure he has Stephanie by his side so he doesn't have to be alone in Houston where no friends and family reside. Stephanie tells me how many of you have offered to help and so I wanted to reach out and let you know that this is the best way to help them at this juncture. There are so many of you in their combined networks, that it doesn't require a large investment to get them the funds they need - every amount donated helps and is greatly appreciated.
Every dime goes directly to them and will be used for travel expenses to M.D. Anderson for Jim's treatment.
