Trail's End Camp (TEC) is a place to build strong friendships, create lifelong memories and develop social skills. Campers (ages 6-17) will learn valuable life skills such as cooperation, benevolence, and self-confidence.
We at Collective Community Services believe that all children should have the opportunity to enjoy a camping experience regardless of their financial barriers.
At TEC, campers will eat healthy meals and snacks, sleep in cozy bunkbeds in a chalet and enjoy the natural stunning beauty of Nature along with our dynamic, highly trained, creative, and professional staff. Campers get to enjoy a variety of amazing programs, such as:
· Canoeing
· Kayaking
· Arts & Crafts
· Performing Arts
· Swimming
· And so much more!
A world-first Sustainable Happiness concept that links health, well-being and sustainability will be the common thread in program development. Campers will have the opportunity to be involved in service projects that benefit the camp and their community. Creative projects for campers and staff will be to plant gardens, build a mini-farm and habitat enhancement projects for birds, monarch butterflies, and fish.
Campers are referred by C.L.S.C social workers, foster homes, group homes, and various community organizations. The campers at Trail`s End Camp are from diverse cultural backgrounds and are predominantly from families living below the poverty line. While most staff members are fully bilingual, delivering the TEC program in English provides English speaking children and those learning English with an accessible camp experience; an experience supported by the necessary financial subsidies required for this community.
All funds raised will go towards:
- Sending deserving youth to camp
- Program development
- Supplies and materials
- Staffing
Several of our campers arrive at camp without adequate supplies to last them for the camp session. (socks, underwear, proper foot wear, clothing, bug spray, sun screen etc.)
100% of funds raised will go towards ensuring a safe and fun camping experience for several amazing children this summer.
