McDonald Farm Fire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On Sunday, October 11th, a fire broke out which completely engulfed and destroyed the largest barn at McDonald Farm. The barn would be a familiar landmark to any of the thousands of visitors who have enjoyed the beauty of McDonald Farm during our annual Farm Days Fall Festival, and while thankfully no one (or any animals) were harmed in the blaze, this substantial loss is deeply felt by all of us who love the Farm and what it represents.
While we are committed to doing our best to overcome this setback, and trying to continue to keep the Farm open for the remaining Farm Days schedule for the next four weeks, this account is being established in response to the tremendous outpouring of support and generosity of so many people who have reached out to us upon hearing the news.
McDonald Farm has been run by the McDonald Family since 1821, and the both the McDonald and Crowder families are deeply appreciative of the community of friends, visitors, and neighbors who love the Farm as much as we do. Funds collected in this account will be used exclusively to cover the very large losses not otherwise covered by insurance. Any excess funds will go towards the development of additional events for our community.
Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers.
