Torren McMaster's High Court Appeal

Donation protected
In July 2013 Torren McMaster an employee of Qube Station Pier in Melbourne was sacked for having refused to upgrade into a role that he had not been adequately and competently trained.

The fight continues ...

Following his dismissal a small group of protesters in support of Torren assembled at Station Pier. In true Corporate fashion Qube called in the machinery and appartus of State to have the protestors dispersed.

Australian workers and the commuters at Station Pier deserve better and at least hear the entire truth as to why he was sacked.

There is an old cliche within the legal fraternity that "justice delayed is justice denied" and having already partaken via his union in numerous mediations and concilliations with the Fair Work Commission and a failed trial in the Federal Court Torren was advised by the MUA's hired Barrister, Herman Borenstein QC that he had no grounds for an appeal and the MUA Officials like Pontius Pilate have now cleansed their hands of the saga.

What is further interesting is that his legal representative had failed to provide and articulate the most pertinent of facts during his trial. Since his dismissal Torren has encountered more obstacles than a horse competing in the Grand National steeplechase and from the onset it has been a case of "he who pays the piper"

For three years Torren and his family have endured extreme psycological, emotional and financial stress to point where the Bank has now threatened to evict his family.

Torren has since lodged an appeal in the High Court against the insistance and advice by MUA Officials and his former QC.

Torren now has a new legal team that have found several irregularities and the grounds to appeal the injustice that he has endured and been dealt.

Fighting the top end of town is no easy feat - particulary when you've not only been fighting against the employer but also the union that purportedly professed to be supporting him.

If you believe in fairness and that justice is an essential and fundamental part of a democratic society and that workers should not be treated as commodities and believe that all people are entitled to their day in Court irrespective as to their social status or class than we could use your support and financial assistance.

Please help Torren have his day in the High Court and obtain justice. All assistance would be greatly appreciated and essentially ensure that Qube do not get away with treating Torren and their workers as if they are industrial garbage or second class citizens.

As the Painters & Dockers would have said "Touch One Touch All".
