Restoration of Tori's K9 Adventures

My name is Brittany Hersman and I am the manager of the training facility, Tori's K9 Adventures. 

On Thursday, December 3rd one of our two buildings, our Training and Activity Center, caught fire due to a faulty bathroom exhaust fan. We are inexpressably grateful and proud that we were able to utilize our evactuation plan - moving 48 dogs to safety within 3 minutes time - however the entirety of our training center, every piece of equipment inside, and all of the blood sweat and tears put into realizing our building went up in flames that day. 

 Tori's K9 Adventure is a facility unlike any other in not only the immediate area, but the state. Our owner, Tori Trent, a dog behavior expert of 13+ years, has been building her dream since she was just a child. She has geared our facility and her practice towards specializing in dogs that many others may, and have turned away. Tori's K9 Adventures is open to those with severe fear and aggression - whether it be towards humans or other dogs, those with severe anxiety, dominance issues, or even simply over excitability. At Tori's we rehabilitate the most severe of cases, and have given many dogs a second chance at life.

Our Training and Activity center was vital to our operation. Daily from the hours of 11-4pm, a select group of trainers made their way to the center with dogs in hand. Within the center, our trainers worked these dogs through several of their issues, creating happier and more well balanced dogs and homes for their owners.  We are looking to rebuild our Training and Activity Center as quickly as possible, as these dogs with special needs have no where else to go. 

While we do have all of the essentials needed for the dogs that remain in our care, we lost nearly $50,000 in just training equipment. Among the agility equipment, the tunnels, and our indoor pool that were all lost - there were also a multitude of items that can never be replaced, including every one of Tori's awards and certificates collected over 13 years within the community. 

We can not express the gratitude within us for all of the support extended from our community. All of your care and concern has made this devastating tragedy that much easier, and we will never be able to repay you.

We hope that with the money raised by this campaign, we can not only begin to replace the multitude of items we lost as a team, but that we will be able to get back to doing what we do best here at Tori's K9 Adventures - changing and saving dog's lives.
