Our daughter was rushed to the special care baby unit 6 hours after birth as she went blue and nearly stopped breathing. After 5 days of tests and treatments for what turned out to be neonatal hypoglycaemia she finally recovered.
We were about to leave a week later and there was a flu outbreak on the ward.
The team at Torbay SCBU ward were/are incredible and caring to all of our needs and effectively saved her life, more than once!
