Promotion et Développement Humain (PDH)
A place where those who need assistance can come and be welcomed, supported and helped.  From educational evenings with orphans, HIV/AIDS information sessions with Adults, Hospital visits and treatment for the sick, work with the mentally ill and home visits.  PDH continiously lends a hand to those in need.  For over 17 years now, they have been committed to improving the lives of those around them.  Today, they turn to you and ask you for a lending hand so they can better serve the ones in need in their communities.

PDH welcomes orphanned children and children of HIV/AIDS parents at their facilities regularly.  The days are spent with some light games and entertainment and most importantly free educational classes.  Public schools near the PDH centre in Lomé Avédji will hold over 100 children per class.  Desks that are made for two are shared between up to 5 children.  It's easy to see that this can severely affect the quality of education a child can receive and those who may struggle in any given subject will be left behind.  These children are left to learn on their own as their gardian at home is usually not in a place to assist them with their school work.

We all know that knowledge is Power!!
This is why PDH holds free courses in a variety of subjects in order to assist children in a supportive manner so that each child may have a better opportunity to succesfully learn.  Two of the potential classrooms for these free classes currently are not usable as they are not completed and are missing a roof.  The unfinished area of 9mX6m has been left this way until now because of a lack of funds.  We hope that by raising  our Goal of $3,500CAD, PDH will finally be able to provide a higher quality of supportive educational classes for those in need.  This is our big project of the year!

With the holiday season also fast approaching, we are also collecting funds in order to make some small gifts to the kids.  We want to make this year a Christmas to remember - with toys, shoes, clothes, food and even a surprise fieldtrip. Creating positive happy memories is all part of the supportive development we promote for the kids of PDH.  If you would like your donation or part of your donation to go towards the Christmas event please include the word "Christmas" in the text area of your donation.
