Bungee Fundraiser for two Children’s Wards

Donation protected
My husband and I will be doing a bungee jump to raise money for two children's wards that have helped care for my beautuful Niece and gorgeous Nephew.

......Imagine......

Imagine a family, a normal everyday family, Mum, Dad 2 young brothers and a little sister, it could be your family.
Imagine you are busy preparing for Christmas, planning for that special family day, letters to Santa, rehearsing for school and playgroup nativities, dusting the decs off and putting up the tree, looking forward to spending time with precious family swapping present, hugs and kisses.
Image if you can, what could possibly go wrong tipping your world upside down putting all your plans on hold. Its hard to imagine I know but its just what happened to this little family.
Imagine the youngest brother, Stanley, 6 years old and full of life yet in the blink of an eye he is rushed into hospital and subsequently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The family is devastated but despite being seriously ill the hospital staff managed his condition and supported Mum Dad and Stanley in beginning his new way of having to live day by day. To us the care and support Stanley received was amazing yet to the providers of that care it was just another day in their mission to care and repair very sick children.
Imagine the family who comes to terms with this life changing event and manages to pick themselves up and carry-on, imagine if you can what could possibly be thrown at them next but life is unpredictable and sometimes unexplainable.
Imagine just 3 weeks after seeing her brother go into hospital 2 year old Nancy is herself being rushed into hospital and then rapidly transferred to a special children's hospital with a rare and acute critical illness affecting her kidneys, hard to image? Well its just what happened to this family.
Imagine how hard it must be to see one child become so ill and then to have a second even more ill, it is incomprehensible that it could happen twice in such a short space of time but that's the reality of life, cruel as it may be. Little nancy was so ill that the medical teams would not commit to predicting her outcome, instead they worked tirelessly day and night to stabilise her, she was to spend long days connected to dialysis and plasma machines. Nancy's own immune system had turned on her kidneys and the complications of this were immense. But as with Stanley the medical teams worked relentlessly to stabilise her and to begin to correct her condition. Thanks to the care and support she received whilst in ward E17 Nancy slowly turned the corner towards recovery.
Imagine now a world where children don't get ill and sickness doesn’t harm them, what a wonderful place that would be. We can all try and imagine such a place but the reality of life is very different, illness and sickness does exist and is sometimes indiscriminate in where and who it strikes. Thankfully there are special people in special places that are ready to step in at the drop of hat to help, to care and to support and its thanks to such people and places that children like Stanley and Nancy are able to overcome some of life's most challenging moments.
Finally, imagine your family, your family in the same situation, we all pray and hope that it doesn't happen but if it does you know that there will be a group of special people in a special place ready to step in and help. So why not help them, a small donation to this amazing charity event will help in some small way to ensuring that the very best equipment will be ready and waiting, just in case it is your family.
