Tkaronto to Secwepemc Travel Fund

Donation protected
Members of the Indigenous Community of Tkaronto are preparing to embark on a new phase of their journey to join Members of the Secwepemc Women’s Warrior Society in their call out to all land defenders and warriors to British Columbia to help stop the Kinder Morgan TransMountain pipeline.

Last week alone we saw the arrest of Kanahus Manuel, spokesperson for the Tiny House Warriors, and an eviction notice of Camp Cloud which is a media surveillance post & direct action support centre directly aimed at stopping the pipeline.

This fundraising initiative is to help a group of Indigenous women travel from Tkaronto to Secwepemc Territory to assist them in their fight to stop the construction of the pipeline and assert their sovereign rights.

The money will help with purchase of a large van/RV or tickets for transportation of choice, to bring as many women as possible to help hold the line. It is not always easy for us to do what we do as grassroots as a lot of our time, resources and money are used to help with support for others such as family, friends, neighbors, community as well as to the individual that has fallen through the cracks in the system... as of late as always our women give so much of themselves and therefore we reach out to all to ask for the following, as ways to support, help and help make this happen so we may join our sisters in solidarity. Your kind generous contribution and consideration for the First Nation, Metis and Inuit people of these lands are greatly appreciated and will be entered into our prayers for good thoughts, blessings and prayers
