Welcome to The Babywearing to THRIVE DRIVE: The Babywearing International Scholarship Fundraiser.
Our goal is to raise a minimum of $3,000 for this very special project. Your donations will be distributed to at least 10 Babywearing International Chapters that enter via a short entry form. The funds each group receives will allow 10 families who have children with special needs to become members for a year. The Thrive Drive will bring at least 100 new families to babywearing! This is all up to YOU- the more money that’s raised, the more families can #babyweartothrive!
But wait, it gets better… you also have the chance to win a Kinderpack or Beco carrier as a supporter of this campaign.
Here’s how it works:
1. Donate here on our THRIVE DRIVE GoFundMe page. (You can also donate via PayPal on our website , we'll make sure it gets put towards the Thrive Drive!)
--- Supporters who give a minimum of $30 will be entered in a drawing for one of two toddler Kinderpacks. Just think- only $30 and you can support a family who has a child with special needs on their babywearing journey for ONE year!
---No donation is too small! All donors, regardless of amount, will be entered in a random drawing for two LMU jumbo tote bags.
2. Let your local BWI group know about the THRIVE DRIVE and ask a Chapter Volunteer to fill out the entry form. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $3,000 so we can randomly select at least 10 Chapters to receive $300 in scholarship funds. If we exceed our fundraising goal, we will select even MORE Chapters to win scholarships!
3. Go to the pinned post on our Facebook page . ‘Like’ the pinned post AND comment on the post with your local Babywearing International Chapter's name.
----The group with the most mentions on July 1st at 8pm EST will win a Beco toddler carrier. (Only one mention per person will be counted.)
----We'll randomly choose one person who likes the pinned post to win a Beco toddler carrier.
4. BWI group winners of the THRIVE DRIVE will be announced the week of July 6th. *Each Babywearing International Chapter must have their membership in good standing and must agree to all Terms & Conditions on the entry form in order to be eligible to win.
**The $3,000 goal MUST BE MET before any prizes can be released!!**
• Where will my THRIVE DRIVE donation go?
100% of money raised from the THRIVE DRIVE will go directly to the randomly selected Babywearing International Chapters (have your Chapter Volunteer enter HERE!) to fund one-year membership fees for families who have children with special needs. If funds exceed our $3,000 goal, we will be able to reward even MORE Chapters with scholarship funds and help more families #babyweartothrive!
• Why is it so important to us to provide BWI scholarships to families who have children with special needs?
BWI Chapters offer community, support, and education regarding safe and ergonomic babywearing. By providing a family with a membership, you are opening up many resources to them including a lending library of babywearing carriers which each Chapter provides. This is a great way for families to try out different carriers to find what works for them.

* What is Lift Me Up?
Lift Me Up is a non-profit program created by three mamas - Kristin , Sarah, and Rachel - with the mission to provide babywearing carriers to families who have children with special needs. Babywearing is a unique therapeutic tool that can benefit both the child and the caregiver. We provide ergonomic carriers to qualified families who have a child with a developmental special need and who do not already own a carrier.
We have served almost 400 families and we are excited to share the tool of babywearing with new families.
