Thomas Baybay has been playing baseball since he was 7 years old. He has been training and pursuing this passion for baseball for the past 7 years and it is his dream to someday be a part of the MLB.
Recently, he was identified by Perfect Game Baseball as an Elite Player in the 14u age and was invited to participate in the 2016 Perfect Game Series Classic in Fort Myers, Florida in July 2016. The 2nd Annual PG Classic is a prestigious, invitation only tournament designed to create a platform for the top individual baseball players from the United States, Canada, and Latin America to compete and be recognized for their talents. Thomas has been selected and given the honour to represent and play for Team Canada.
This event provides youth the rare opportunity to be treated like college prospects. Each player attending the PG Classic will be guaranteed 7 games on top of the line fields at Major League Baseball spring training complexes and receive exposure on the world's biggest amateur baseball website. For the individuals selected, this tournament will be a chance to prove who really are the top talents in youth baseball.
As wonderful of an opportunity it is, unfortunately it is not without cost, especially the tournament being held on the other side of the continent.
