Thomas Barton's Eagle Scout Project

For my Eagle Scout Project I will be renovating the family activity room and the outside playground area for the Homeward Bound of Marin group home at 410 Mission Ave, San Rafael, CA. The renovation will include painting the walls, installing new bookshelves and cabinets, and installing a new TV. Outside in the yard, we will remove weeds. Homeward Bound of Marin is an organization that operates 14 programs for homeless men, women, and children, offering over 450 beds per night and serving approximately 1,400 people each year. They provide programs to transition homeless people into working class people with housing of their own. Their programs help each person prioritize a goal in a personal action plan, and help each person staying there out of homelessness. $800 is needed in order to purchase the TV, paint, and supplies needed to conduct this project.
