The Rowing Samoan

I'm aggressively pursuing an Olympic bid to row for Samoa in the 2016 Olympics. The timing of my project along with a series of other coincidences have miraculously occurred to enable this project to become what is today: a very legitimate opportunity to make a very large splash in a very small pond.
Ultimately, the goal of my Olympic bid is to inspire a pipeline of female Samoan rowers into the NCAA and the Olympics rivaling the pipeline of male Samoan football players into the NCAA and the NFL. This said, rowing is just a platform and creating a pipeline of female Samoan rowers is a means to empower women in a country that ranks among the poorest in the world, happens to be nearly 45% LDS and can tout athletic talent among its greatest exports (male athletic talent to be specific).
I'm soliciting funding from multiple sources including corporations, foundations and wealthy philanthropists (as funding this project will be nearly 3 times this price tag), but I won't have this funding in time to secure the purchase of this boat that just hit the market today (Sept 11). I was offered the boat yesterday for $10,159. The boat is a Filippi Model F39. The boat was used at the World Rowing Championships last week in France and will be used twice more next month in competitions in the U.S. by the reigning Olympic Champion, Mahe Drysdale. A shell of this size and quality is a rare find without a custom order (a $16K expense with a 6-month lead time). Would you consider donating to help me secure the purchase of this boat, lest I lose the opportunity to buy it?
