In the small town of Athlone, Ireland there is a very beautiful, rustic, stone church that needs a wee bit of restoration to bring the Corpus Christi Church bells calling the people to Mass once again. For for over 180 years the bells served as a reminder to the people of the sacred.
But now the bells have stopped...
The heart of Ireland is asking you to call to restore the bell tower so people can be called to Mass once again.
Can you help us do this important work?
This is our 2nd full time priory here in Ireland with Mass available daily and we want to call souls by use of the bells to grow our faithful and save more souls with your help.
Most of the money has already been raised by locals and we are so close to the restoring the Church and bells which serve to call people to attend Mass and other sacred functions.
70% of the money has been raised locally and we need help to reach the extra 30% to restore the bell tower and the damage to the interior after decades of high humidity has damaged the interior of the Church.
The money is being used very efficiently as our budget is only $80k and we're raised $56k and we need the final $24k to finish the project.
Are we aiming for $24k? No, but a little goes a long way and any help, just $5 if you can spare, and of course as much as you can afford would be a great blessing to growing and fostering the love of the Mass and Tradition in this central Irish town.
If we reach our goal of the total $24,000 we will finish restoring the interior which needs plaster work. The lack of proper insulation causes humidity issues which has damaged the interior walls.
We are hoping with your generous help, that we can fix the issues and once again ring the bells of Corpus Christi Church! You can rebuild this church, help call souls to church, and be part of a splendid restoration in Central Ireland. Anything will help, even a few dollars!
We are the Society of St. Pius X, a non-profit organization, that serves souls to the restoration of the sacred through the Traditional Mass and doctrine. Your donation will help the souls locally and help us restore the exterior of the building and if we reach our goal we can do more to restore the interior of the Church.
