The Gill's Emergency Fund
My name is Rachel and I have a friend named Kelly that has been in my life since high school (15 years sounds pretty accurate). Kelly is an amazing woman. She found the love of her life and moved to Montana. They had a beautiful house and were blessed with a beautiful son. Then disaster struck and their house was destroyed by a wildfire. But that's not what this campaign is about.
The Gills then moved back to Florida to be closer to family. They knew Brooksville is a fantastic place to raise their son, where he could be surrounded by good family and good friends. A little under 9 months ago, Kelly found out she was pregnant again!
On November 20, 2015, Kelly was in the hospital having tests done to check on the baby, as she's due to give birth to her second son in a matter of weeks. She recieved a phone call in the hospital from her husband, Ryan. An old tree had snapped in half and fallen on her house. The house is completely destroyed. Just look at the pictures! We need your help. Absolutely anything will help. They have family to give them shelter. The Gills were swarmed by friends using headlights, lamps, and flashlights to remove items of value that survived the destruction.
The money will be used to help the Gills get back on their feet. Kelly had to stop working because she is so far along in her pregnancy. To say they need money is an understatement. They needed money before their house was ruined. Money does not buy happiness, but to give them enough to pay their bills while they rebuild their life would mean to the world to us. Their group of family and friends are all low on the economic spectrum. Anything you can provide them would be a blessing.
