Theft Relief- Emergency fund stolen

On Tuesday, June 13th, the back window of my car was smashed and my family's suitcases were stolen. My family is moving from California to New Mexico and we had stopped for the night at a Motel 6 in Bakersfield, CA. Motel 6 is the only motel that we know of that allows dogs to stay for free which means a lot considering we have two furry friends and this one had a 3 star rating on google.
After a week of 15 hour long days packing up our home for my parents and a red-eye flight from South America on Monday for me, we were exhausted. Unfortunately, that night, we arrived at 9:30pm and we were so exhausted that we only brought in a few bags each and left the rest in the car. Usually, we NEVER leave anything in the car. We thought this decision was okay because we were parked within 60 ft of the reception office, directly under a light post, and there was a camera pointing directly at the vehicle. There is also a sign posted that there is an active security program in force. At 7:30am the next morning when we were about to pack up for the next day of driving, we found my window smashed. Conveniently, no one in reception called the police, the surveillance camera doesn't work, and the security guard was off duty that night.
My suitcase was a full 50 lbs of clothes, gifts for loved ones that I purchased in South America (including birthday presents for my mom, and retirement gifts for my dad), as well as personal jewelry, iPad and my passport. My mom's suitcase had all of her clothes, her computer, as well as $4000 in cash. She has had serious issues with her student loan provider withdrawing large sums from her account without permission and she felt that this money would be safer with her. We thought it had been in the bag she brought inside the hotel with her. This has been a nightmare and we have been beating ourselves up for leaving our stuff in the car. Lesson learned.
We do have a claim in process with our insurance that will hopefully give us some monetary relief for what was stolen from us. However, the insurance told us that they will not cover any cash which means my mom will have lost her entire emergency savings. My family and I would appreciate any additional support that you all are willing to give.
